Today I had the honour on behalf of Transfers (Swedish organisation working to bring the industry into class rooms) meet students at IT-Gymnasiet in Gothenburg studying Digital Design and Communication to talk about my work as communicator. I carried out a few searches and found the best price on Insplanet (in Swedish) [...] I spent the weekend in Gothenburg at Lindholmen Science Park where the unconference Webcoast manifested for the second year running. A great mix of people and topics. At an unconference the participants create the agenda, or the Grid as it is called. At 20:00 on Friday the Grid opened up and everyone then had the same chance to add [...] I am going on a business trip to the UK and have booked a room at the Travelodge – a budget hotel chain. Today I needed to change my check-out date. As I have booked the Flexible option I was able to change my booking up until 12 noon on the arrival day. Perfect. [...] Last Wednesday Swedish television station SVT aired the first of two programmes where they revealed the truth about IKEA and Ingvar Kamprad (text in Swedish) – their own words. A topic of interest for me is the discussion around the tax reduction for household services like cleaning and wether it is a good thing for women or not.
